How to apply blusher for your face shape

#dontsweatit Beauty

We at S&G HQ love how a bit of blusher can brighten up your face, giving it a warm and healthy glow. In order to find out your ideal blusher routine, you will firstly need to identify your face shape.

Long and Lovely

If your face is long and lovely like Liv Tyler it is likely that your face is longer than it is wide and your forehead, cheekbones and jawline are the same width. You will also have a softly rounded hair and jawline.

Your perfect blusher routine is to apply horizontally across your cheeks to create width.

Oval beauty

If you are an oval beauty like Jessica Alba your face will be slightly longer than it is wide and its widest part will be at your cheekbones. You will also have a softly rounded jawline.

Your perfect blusher routine is to start mid-way on the apples of your cheeks and sweep the colour towards your temples.

Square and sexy

If you have a square and sexy face shape like Angelina Jolie then your forehead is the narrowest part of your face and you have a strong squarish jawline.

The aim for your blusher routine is to soften your jawline by applying blush in small circles focussing on the apples of your cheeks.

Cute and round

Do you have a cute and round face like Emma Stone? If so your hair and jawline are rounded and your face is almost as wide as it is long.

Your perfect blusher routine is to add definition by applying blush at a 45-degree angle.

Heart shaped hottie

Are you a heart shaped hottie like Chloe Moretz? Then your face is slightly longer than wide and your jaw is the narrowest part with a small chin. You may also have a “widow’s peak” hairline.

Your perfect blusher routine is similar to a square face shape where you want to soften the jawline by applying blusher to the apple of your cheeks.
