Best lipstick shades
The Soft & Gentle team fall into two different lipstick tribes. There are those of us who cherish our lippy and never leave anywhere without at least one (or five!) in our handbag; and there are some of us who shy away from the commitment of a lick of colour on our lips. Whichever tribe you fall into, there is a lipstick colour for all this autumn.
In the Nude!
For those of you who are a little nervous about wearing lipstick, why not ease yourself in with one of this season’s hottest trend; nude. There are a few different shades of nude from peachy to beige so we would advise popping into a store to try a few shades and get the right one for you.
Our pick below is Maybelline New York’s Coloursens classic nude colour at only £6.99.
Red Lipstick is a classic, if in doubt it is the “go to” colour made iconic by the likes of Marilyn Monroe, Madonna and Elisabeth Taylor. Gwyneth puts it perfectly below, a slick of red lipstick makes you feel like you can take on the world!
We love Mac lipstick in colour “Relentlessly Red” at £15.50.
For those of us who fall into the lipstick connoisseur tribe, winter is the time when we can finally get out our berry lipsticks! A more daring shade, it can be easy to shy away from these dark tones however we urge you to give berry a chance. The fair skinned English Roses among us should look for lighter plumb and mauve shades to complement blonde or light hair. Olive skin tones should be rushing out to buy darker plum tones and darker skins will suit deep wine hues and can even branch into browns.
Try out this Revlon super lustrous lipstick in Berry for £7.49.
