Autumn office fashion
Getting ready for work whilst it is still dark outside with the rain battering the window is not the most inspiring of environments to get ready in the morning!
Our main aim when reaching into our wardrobe is to dig out clothes that will provide us with warmth and keep us damp proof… but unfortunately dressing gowns are not appropriate meeting wear no matter how stylish!
However, we are ready to fall in love again with our winter wardrobe by updating it with a few key pieces that will get us leaping (or maybe just rolling) out of bed in the morning to stay on trend with work wear in the office.
These boots were made for walking
If you are anything like us, wet feet are a pet hate! So invest in a good pair of watertight boots that will last you for a few seasons.
We are loving these “Nifty Buckle” knee boots in black from Office. Teamed with smart jeans, a shirt and a jumper, these smart casual boots will not only keep you dry, they will also turn heads! For an on trend statement, why not try these “Duenna” ankle boots from ALDO in Bordeaux.
Capes are not just for superheroes!
Bored of blazers and a jumpers are not quite smart enough? Why not try out a cape? Teamed with a mid-length leather skirt and a simple black top, these two capes from Oasis will have you on trend and toasty in the office.
Patterns should not be left behind in winter, make sure you work the meeting room in a loud and proud pattern in autumnal tones. We are rushing out on payday to pick up this patterned beauty from Zara! Warehouse hits two trends in one with this patterned and plaid gorgeous dress.
Don’t just accessorise your desk
We have been rocking our statement necklaces all year and are pleased that this trend keeps on going! For autumn, you can go bigger and better, and a bit of sparkle can brighten up any rainy day. We love this “Notre Dame” statement necklace from accessorize and gold multi-coloured jewel stone necklace from New Look.
Now all you have to worry about is getting caught practicing your runway walk in the office kitchen…strike the pose!
